Service Description

FPS Snow Blowing specializes in reliable and efficient snow removal for residential driveways. Using state-of-the-art tractors equipped with powerful inverted snow blowers, we ensure your driveway stays clear and accessible throughout the winter season. Our dedicated team provides prompt and professional service, making sure you can navigate safely, no matter how severe the snowfall. Signups

  • Signups run from June through November 15th
  • A signed contract and payment in full are required to be enrolled as a customer.
  • Any home with multiple driveways can pick one driveway to be serviced or pay separately for each driveway.

Serviceable Driveways

  • FPS Snow Blowing services driveways in the Maple Grove and Plymouth area.
  • Our tractors are safe for use on asphalt and concrete driveways. We do not service pavers, gravel, dirt, or stamped concrete.
  • All branches that hang over driveways must be trimmed to at least 10 feet high to allow clearance.

Service Guidlines

  • This is a residential snow removal service only. No commercial properties will be services.
  • This service is designed to clear the bulk of the snow from your driveway quickly and efficiently.
  • Our tractors will do most of the work, but not all. Those signing up for this service understand that they may still need to do some shoveling in front of the garage door and around the edges.
  • Many factors go into how clearer tractors can scrape a driveway. Depending on slope, shape, condition, type and timing of snow, and sun exposure not all driveways will look exactly the same.
  • Our operators will do their best to get within 18 inches of all garages or vehicles.

Timing and Routing

  • FPS Snow Blowing will do their best to remove snow by 7am. However, it is out of our control if a snow storm hits over night and we are forced to work into the day.
  • We dispatch our tractors at the tail end of a snow storm. This may vary depending on severity of a snow event.
  • All tractors are equipped with a tablet for routing and tracking completion. When the tractor is within 20 minutes of services a driveway, the customer will get an email/text notification alerting that the operator is on their way. This allows our customers time to move a vehicle if needed.
  • Our software generates the most efficient route to make sure everyone gets serviced in a timely manner.

Return Service for plow ridges

  • FPS Snow Blowing will remove the plow ridges left at the end of the driveway from city plows.
  • If the city has cleared streets before we arrive, FPS will clear the driveway and ridges at the same visit and will not return.
  • If the city has not yet plowed streets when we come to clear the driveway, FPS will return to clear the ridges once the city has completed their plow. In the event that return service is necessary, ridges will be cleared after our initial route has been completed, meaning there may be a significant wait for ridge clearing. 
  • Similarly to how you receive a text message before we clear your driveway, we will also send out a message when we return for ridge clearing.

Staking

  • FPS will mark boundaries of your driveway with our snow stakes prior to the start of service to ensure your driveway is visible and we can do our best to avoid causing damage.
  • Do not remove, move, or physically modify the stakes in any way. These stakes are a necessary part of our service. A charge of $20 will be assessed for stake replacement.
  • All stakes will be collected at the end of the snow season.

Damage

  • FPS Snow Blowing is not responsible for scrapes, scratches, and/or rust marks left on driveways or further deterioration of already crumbling driveways. These are considered normal wear and tear.
  • FPS Snow Blowing is not responsible for damage to downspouts, landscaping lights, planters, hoses, dog leashes, extension cords, lawn ornaments, etc. Please remove as many of these items as possible prior to November 1st.
  •  We strive to never cause any damage, however, sometimes low visibility and icy conditions can cause problems. Please report and property damage (garage, garage doors, gutters, house, fascia, soffits, etc.) within 48 hours of service. FPS Snow Blowing is fully insured and will work with homeowners to bid out the repairs. Homeowners are not to hire a repair service and send us the bill without our agreement.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for maintaining ice-free driveways by using salt or other abrasives prior to each snowfall as necessary. Use of salt/abrasives prior to freezing rain is strongly encouraged.
  • FPS Snow Blowing will attempt to clear all driveways but will stop if driveways are too icy to be cleared safely.
  • Customers are responsible for keeping driveways clear of items such as hoses, downspouts, dog chains, extension cords, planters, newspapers, basketball hoops (or nets for immoveable hoops), etc.
  • Customers are responsible for moving all obstructions prior to service. If we are unable to service your driveway due to an obstruction we will not come back once it is moved.
  • Customers are responsible for reporting any damage within 48 hours of the snow event where the damage was caused.

Yes, our equipment is designed specifically for residential snow removal in mind! 

To safely service your property, our operators are trained to clear within 6”-12” of driveway markers and 12”-16” of parked vehicles and/or buildings, including garage doors and building overhangs.

Our driveway sizes are based on their width and the number of cars they can comfortably fit. For example if you can fit two cars one in front of the other, you have a 2 car driveway. If you can fit two cars next to each other and two behind, you have a 4 car driveway, etc.
